At the time I wrote the music to this track, I was active in an "outlaw country rock" band. I was actually trying to write something for THAT band, lol. I was really digging what I was coming up with, so I decided to try to bring it over to AP.

My idea was to write a riff that was kinda bluesy for the verse, with a great 3 chord hook for the chorus. I also wanted to go for a southern rock type of vibe overall, since I grew up jamming to Skynyrd and was loving the "outlaw country rock" thing....

When I took it over to Lana, she instantly had the verses. I was pumped - but when she started humming the chorus melody I knew we had something. Words started to fall into place, and after a few minutes she had the lyrics. I was thrilled. Her voice soared over my 3 chord progression in a way that created that killer hook I was looking for!!!!

I less than an hour we had the song ready to go. Great songs write themselves....
